ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body.

A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain. Increasingly, it is being used for overall wellness, including stress management.

Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance.

In contrast, many Western practitioners view the acupuncture points as places to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue. Some believe that this stimulation boosts your body's natural painkillers.

There is evidence that acupuncture influences the production of and distribution of a great many neurotransmitters and neuromodulators, and that this in turn alters the perception of pain

CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic is from Greek words meaning done by hand.

It is grounded in the principle that the body can heal itself when the skeletal system is correctly aligned and the nervous system is functioning properly.

To achieve this, the practitioner uses his or her hands or an adjusting tool to perform specific manipulations of the vertebrae. When these bones of the spine are not correctly articulated, resulting in a condition known as subluxation, the theory is that nerve transmission is disrupted and causes pain in the back, as well as other areas of the body.

Chiropractic is one of the most popular alternative therapies currently available.

PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physiotherapy is a health care profession concerned with human function and movement and maximizing physical potential.

It uses physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being, taking into account variations in health status. It is science-based, committed to extending, applying, evaluating and reviewing the evidence that underpins and informs its practice and delivery.

The exercise of clinical judgment and informed interpretation is at its core.

It dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures.

Moxibustion is an alternative therapy that involves burning herbs and applying the resulting heat to specific points on the body. A technique used in traditional Chinese medicine and in Tibetan medicine, moxibustion is typically administered in conjunction with acupuncture.

According to alternative medicine practitioners, the heat generated during moxibustion helps increase the flow of vital energy (also known as "qi" or "chi") throughout the body via certain pathways (known as " meridians ").

In traditional Chinese medicine, stimulating the flow of chi is considered essential to achieving health and wellness.

RAW COCONUT
REVITALIZATION TREATMENT

Raw Coconut Revitalization treatment has it`s roots in Indonesia. Slow relaxation technique gives an excellent deep calming effect to the body mind & soul with deep moisturization and a anti inflammatory treatment with raw organic coconut oil. Rich in Vitamin D.

“Fractionated coconut oil is effective for massage therapy due to the fact that it is readily absorbed and tolerated by most body types. Specialized therapists have also found it to effectively and efficiently address muscular issues like pain and spasms. Why fractionated coconut oil?

“Traditional coconut oil can be very slippery to use, but by eliminating long chain triglycerides from the oil, the fractionated coconut oil allows the therapist to get deeper and better traction with shorter strokes and help alleviate stubborn muscle spasms and soothe inflamed muscles

ANTI-JETLAG

Just starting your vacations or back from a trip abroad and jetlag getting the better of you?

Find out how massage can help.

As exciting as long-haul holidays can be, they have one significant downside – jetlag.

People are affected in different ways, but it’s almost always more than a simple spot of tiredness.

Often our bodies don’t know what’s hit them.

Jet-lag disrupts the body on a major scale, causing fatigue and digestive upsets, memory lapses, nausea, insomnia, swelling, irritability and lethargy – known under the umbrella term, ‘time zone change syndrome’.

Our exclusive combination of Back Neck Foot and Head massage with the help of essential oils specialized for the occasion will help relax your nervous system and recover the body's internal balance. Reducing fatigue and stimulating circulation allows the internal clock to naturally adjust to your new time zone

AROMA RELAXATION

Aroma relaxation massage is kind of relaxation massage based on the principles of Aromatherapy and Swedish massage, stress and anxiety are relieved as essential oils extracted from plants, flowers and fruits are generously glided over your body.

Some of the best stress-busting essential oils are lavender, lemon oil, peppermint, vetiver, and ylang-ylang.

Our Aroma relaxation massage should be gentle yet firm. Beginning with the back, buttocks, and legs, the therapist will ask you to turn over and then massage the front.

The essential oil is applied and massaged in long sweeping strokes to warm the skin and prepare the body for the deep relaxation aftereffect

SWEDISH

Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage.

As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body.

This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart.

But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation.

Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension

stimulating circulation allows the internal clock to naturally adjust to your new time zone

DEEP TISSUE

Deep tissue massage techniques are used to break up scar tissue and physically break down muscle "knots" or adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation.

While some of the strokes may feel the same as those used in Swedish massage therapy, deep tissue massage isn't a stronger version of a Swedish massage.

At the beginning of a deep tissue massage, lighter pressure is generally applied to warm up and prepare the muscles. Specific techniques are then applied.

You may be asked to breathe deeply as the massage therapist works on tense areas.

After the massage, you may feel some stiffness or soreness, but it should subside within a day or so.

REHABILITATION

Rehabilitation massage therapy is actually a combination of several different techniques.

The overall point of massage is to help muscles relax and relieve tension in the body with a combination of hand strokes. Other benefits include: Improved circulation. Massage is accompanied or followed by an increase interchange of substances between the blood and the tissue cells, which increases tissue metabolism.

Massage maximizes the supply of nutrients and oxygen though increased blood flow, which helps the body rebuild itself. Improved range of motion and muscle flexibility. This results in increased power and performance, which helps you work efficiently and with proper intensity to facilitate the body’s muscle-building response.

Helps shorten recovery time between workouts. Waste products such as lactic and carbonic acid build up in muscles after exercise. Increased circulation to these muscles helps to eliminate toxic debris and shorten recovery time. Can help prevent over-training.

Massage has a relaxing effect on the muscles, as well as a sedative effect on the nervous system. This can prevent over-training syndrome
